Gears of War 2
One of the newer professional games for MLG is Gears of War 2. This popular Sci Fi first person shooter is set in the future where an evil society of monsters known as the Locust have come to wipe humanity from the face of the earth. This game is a third person shooter and offers a variety of game types and maps for which players to compete against each other on.
The standard game types of slayer and capture the flag are available for players but Gears of War 2 offers other unique game types such as Horde, where a group of players are faced off against wave and wave of computer opponents. Gears of War 2 is played on the Xbox 360 console and MLG has a regular season for professional players to compete in as well as several tournaments throughout the regular season.
